Capi's Last Ride
A pretty cowgirl went riding out
                one bright and sunny day.
And upon a ridge she rested
as she went along her way.
Then all at once a might herd
of cows and calves she saw,
A plowin' across the clear blue sky
                and up a sparklin' draw.

Their brands were hearts and flowers
and their hooves as white as snow,
their horns were pink as roses
and she smiled as she watched them go.
A bold of pride went through her
as they thundered across the sky,
then she saw them riders comin' hard
and she heard them sing on hi.

Yipeeie Yi Yea, Yippie Yi Yo.
We're ridin' paradise in the sky.

Their faces tanned, their eyes were set,
their shirts red, white and blue.
Their ridin' hard to catch that herd
lovin' this round up that they do.
Cause they get to ride forever
on this range up in the sky.
And she saw their smiling faces
                and heard their happy cry.
Yippie Yi Yea, Yippie Yi Yo,
We're ridin' paradise in the sky.

As the riders loped on by her
she heard one call her name.
"If you want to join this horse dance girl
and ride here on our range.
Then cowgirl leave life's pain behind
and with us you'll always ride,
chasin' this here spirit herd across
         these crystal skies."

Well the cowgirl got a feelin'
         one that's bold and strange,
a feelin' that she hadn't felt
since racin' barrels on Montana's plains.
So she spurred ol' Racket deep and hard
and gave her steed the rein,
and she follwed them riders into a puffy white cloud
And this was her last refrain.

Yippie, Yi Yea, Yippie Yi Yo
Now I'm riding paradise in the sky.
Yippie Yi Yo, Yippie Yi Yea
I'll see you all....by and by.
